This Dimplex Q-RadE has a sleek and slim style, with simple controls and a range of unique intelligent features that work automatically. The heater has advanced technology to give maximum control and allowing you to choose when and how you want heat. With a low thermal mass, the Q-RadE is quick to heat up and reacts more responsively to changes in the room, leading to improved control, comfort and energy saving. Q-Rad E has a convective element and a radiant element. It uses either one or both heat sources automatically to maintain accurate target room temperature. This Q-RadE has a unique self-learning delayed start function, this enables it to learn the thermal characteristics of the room and determines how long the appliance needs to be running in order to reach the acquired temperature. The heater will work out what time it should start heating to reach the temperature by measuring the heat-up and cool-down times of the room and how they vary with external temperature. All this means it minimizes wasted energy and will deliver cost savings. The Dimplex heater comes with 4 pre-programmed timer modes, which are: Out All Day, Home All Day, Holiday and Use. These can be modified to suit your lifestyle, there is also an advanced function that enables you to temporarily alter the settings. The Q-RadE also has an open window/door detection, which means it will detect a sudden change in temperature and scale back the output to 50%, once it has closed the heater will return to normal operation. This ensures that heat escaping the room is minimized, which thereby avoids waste and saves money. The heater also has an LCD display screen and six touch-sensitive buttons, which are also colour-coded to help those visually impaired. Q-Rad E features a Child Lock to prevent little hands from tinkering with your settings. Simply press and hold the Back and Enter buttons on the heater control for three seconds.
