Getting the temperature for your home just right takes more work than you may think. When it comes to heating however, a big question always comes to mind: What’s the difference between a panel heater and an electric radiator? Is there a difference? I can assure you, there is, and it’s huge.

Electric radiators however actually do give off a combination of radiation and also utilize convection as a way of heating for your home. Electric “Radiators” utilize energy and direct that energy straight to the user rather than heating the air as within a panel heater, meaning the upfront cost of technology is initially higher. On the other hand, if you’re looking to use a heater a few times a year, then using a panel heater is much more ideal as the more affordable of the two really shines in value in this area.
Now as for everyday use, again the electric radiator has a little bit of an edge here, if used as primary heating agents, electric heaters are generally cleaner and more efficient than their panel counterparts. However, when it comes to being used das a supplementary heat source, (and let’s face it, sometimes you will need more than just one) or even just a heater for a guest room, then a panel heater is what you need. Infrequent usage is key as utilizing this heater only ever so often allows it to work better for longer, and can also be used alongside any other primary source of heat you may have.
What’s the verdict? Well, it’s quite simple, if you’re looking for a long term, everyday primary source of heat, go for electric, but if you need something for a guest room, or if you only need heat occasionally, or if you need another supplementary heat source, go for a panel heater. It’ll save you a lot in terms of upfront costs, and it should serve you a long time before it has to be replaced, with proper usage.
